Amazon Prime Day Dream House
To Celebrate Prime day, Amazon hosted the Prime Day Dream House down in Shoreditch for one day only. The house was a celebration of everything Prime has to offer, including its Gaming, Music and Fresh offerings. The theme of the house was inspired by ‘the playful nature of dreams’ and is therefore only fitting that it featured some of the UK's liveliest content creators, including Big Zuu, Max Baledge and Ben Foster. There were also other celebrities in attendance, including Tilly Ramsay, Jarrod Bowen, Sam Thompson and RAYE who also performed on the night.
The dream house was split across three rooms, with each room featuring its own content.
In the kitchen was a cook-off between Big Zuu and foodie influencer Tilly Ramsay, with the ingredients delivered by Amazon Fresh.
The living room was dedicated to celebrating Prime gaming as premier league players Jarrod Bowen & Ben Foster took each other on in a FIFA challenge refereed by sports presenter, Timbsy. Fans were also in the mix as they could ask the footballers questions while they played their match.
Last but not least was the bedroom, which featured an exclusive performance from RAYE presented by Amazon Music.
Overall, the event was a true celebration of Prime’s offerings and was brought to life through the space they curated and the talent they brought in. While some were lucky to attend physically, fans could still watch from home with the event being live-streamed and play an active role in how the experience played out.
Though talent was the heartbeat for the night, it is the fans that kept it breathing and Amazon made sure to show appreciation.

Gymshark tackles Mental Health
Gymshark has opened up a pop-up barbershop called ‘Deload’ down in Shoreditch. Running from Tuesday until Sunday, the barbershop will be run by mental health-trained barbers who customers can open up to while receiving a free trim.
The idea was born out of an insight that men “Talk to their barbers more than their doctors, than mental health professionals.” In addition to the barbers, the space will host panel talks with discussions encouraging men to be more open with one another and “Build real strength,” by working on their mental health.
This is not only a great initiative from Gymshark but also feels authentic to their goal as a brand. It is common knowledge that men use the gym for ‘Therapy’ and while it works for some, others still feel the need to talk. As a leading fitness apparel brand, it only makes sense for Gymshark to shift the dial and provide more support. As Gymshark continues to shift its perception from being a brand for ‘Meatheads’ to a wellness brand, such initiatives take them closer to their desired destination. It is, therefore, no surprise that they are seriously considering turning this temporary pop-up into a permanent offering.

Youtube Legacy Party
Earlier this month, YouTube hosted its annual Legacy Party in Somerset House. Centred on celebrating Black British Culture in Music and beyond, the party saw the likes of Knucks, Henrie, Potter Payper, Bree Runway plus many more in attendance. Meanwhile, Rachel Anson, Jordss and Juls were trusted with the responsibilities of curating the vibe for the night as the DJs.
The YouTube Legacy Party is centred on celebrating Black British Culture in Music and beyond.
The venue was decorated with moments from British Black Culture over the years and served as a reminder of the role YouTube has played in providing a space for Black British Culture to not only be visible, but accessible too.
Such celebrations are rare yet important, considering in the past certain brands would distance themselves from the very same communities that championed them the most.

Brands come to the rescue
With a cost of living crisis and one of the hottest summers upon us, there’s an increased financial pressure on parents to keep their kids fed - both in the brain and belly. Especially due to this being the first post-lockdown summer without restrictions, many brands have taken the initiative to help alleviate the pressure on parents throughout summer. Here’s a list of some brands that are doing their part in taking some of the weight off parents in helping their kids stay fed.
That’s all for now.
Until next time,
